Personal Blog 12

This week was fun. At first it was slow because we had to finish our posters in Art which I thought wasn't very fun. Then the group leaders got to go to the sewage treatment plant and learned what happens to water there. It was very interesting and the guy made some funny jokes. Then we came back and watched the movie Tapped which was cool and sad that our way of life could have so many problems because we believe what big corporations want us to believe.

Personal Blog 11

This week was pretty fun. I like the water project and can't wait to go to the sewer treatment plant next week. I also like how we got to pick our water project groups and that we get to work independently on them as a team. I also thought that the SNL skit with the secret ending to Of Mice and Men was pretty funny. I liked going down to the river because I felt like it was a break from the usual flow of things.

So far the academy is doing quite better then I thought it would do when I first joined. I liked the book Of Mice and Men because of all the seceret meanings in it. Like how they never said anything about racism but showed it without saying it directly. I like geography a lot now because of the new water project. I feel that I might need to work alot for my group but that is ok. I hope that in the future we don't need to do more typing in google docs beacuse that is sometimes very frustrating because of glitchs.

This week was short, only 3 days long because of thanksgiving. I like there paragraph work we are doing in English and the book Of Mice and Men is very good. I like the River stuff we are doing in Geography because I like to see how civilizations started. I also like learning about atoms and what the makeup of elements are.

This week went by very smoothly. I like the way we are learning now and I am getting in the way of things in the ILA. I like that now in English we are reading a fiction book instead of non-fiction. This book seems interesting and good. I think that government is going well and everything is working nicely together now instead of in the beginning when we were tried for time.

I felt that this week went by nicely. I like how we don't have all our classes trying to be integrated into one but instead all our classes different but integrated with technology instead. I like how in science we are learning about crystalline structures and different types of matter. I also like how we are getting better on track with our work.

This week we didn't have ILA on Wednesday. I thought that the idea with Xlandia is going pretty good though I felt that our country might have to many flaws for my nature. I also liked the mid semester test, it was a good idea. I was actually looking forward to finishing it up on Thursday. On Friday, in Ms. Miller's room I was happy that we were able to pick what we wanted to learn about. I think that ILA is getting better and better.

Personal Blog 5

This week was only 3 days long for us so this Blog will be short. We got done with our letters but I felt that making the envelope was hard on the computer. We didn't know how so we had to write our own without a computer. We got to hand in our letters and watch our other classmates do their presentations.  The presentations were all very good. We also got to talk to the people who listened to our research in 1to1. I was put with Ben to talk about the negatives about 1to1. This was actually really fun and I hope we get to do more stuff like it.

Personal Blog 4

This week was ok. During Art Sean and I messed around with our commercial. We got it done but not very quickly. Also, we finished our scale drawings. The test at the end of the week was difficult. It was everything combined and It was very frustrating and confusing. What we learned in class was not what we were tested on. I feel like there could be a different way on testing what we know so far in Integrated Learning. I like what we are doing with making our own constitution. It seems fun and interesting.

This Week I was confused a lot. We got our new assignment and I couldn't tell what we needed to do. All I know is that we need to test on learning with different types of technology. Then once we have the information we need to write a letter to someone about which technology is best for learning in the academy. We also went to Mayfair Mall which I thought was awesome. I liked eating at the food court and learning about apple technology. I felt like the store was a little hectic but it got fun after we got to use the laptops, the ipods, and the Ipads

This week we finished up our Product Testing. Sean and I tested which socks are best for keeping in heat. We got off to a late start because Sean didn't have some of the work he needed to be done. Once he got that done we began to work well. I thought that this week went by very well. At first I was confused on what we had to do for the project but then it got cleared up for me.

I thought that this week was a little hard. The reading of the book Acceptance is going by very quickly and I am afraid that I might fall behind. I had problems with my Google Docs account since I wasn't connected with the academy or any of the other sites and couldn't get any of the homework or documents that we needed. I thought this week went by a little stressful and I didn't get enough of the work done that I wanted.

Sig Fig Blog

1. Accuracy was how close you are to your target and how close you got trying to find the right measurment. Percision is how many Sig Figs you had in your data.
2.Triple Beam Balances are not as accurate because they are controlled by Humans and will always have human error, Electronic Balance is useing a computer and doing all the work for you.
3. Significant digit is a number that is important for data or a problem.

Our data said 54.26 but we know that it actually equals 55 so 2000 or with our data 2027.27608
Summary= i learned that sig figs are very important to how your data should be recorded and it also awakened knowledge from last year.

Ropes Course

I thought the Ropes Course was discomfertable yet very satisfying. It didnt test our teamwork skills when we were high up, but when we were on the groond our teamwwork skills wern't only tested but also strained. I thought that if we could do it again but do different courses that would be fun.

Classroom Details

I belive that the projecton screen and the classroom be in the back because it would out of the way and people walking by would not see it and think our classroom was cool. Food should be up aganst the window so people would be jealouse. Also cubaculs would be good for a quiet work space. couches for a relaxation area and a teachers desk for staplers and tapes and stuff
